PROGRAMS WE SUPPORT
The San Mateo City Parks and Recreation Foundation was established to raise funds to support the parks and programs of the San Mateo Parks and Recreation Department.
The Foundation has identified the following areas in which your donations will be most beneficial:
SMCPF Core Support
Core support funds the San Mateo City Parks Foundation as a whole. The Foundation works closely with the Parks and Recreation Department to identify the programs and projects where funding will make the greatest impact.
Central Park Summer Music Series
The annual Central Park Music Series provides 9 weeks of free music offerings in the summer on the great lawn in Central Park. From dance party to country western, each week’s offering draws crowds of nearly 2000 people who come to meet, greet and eat! Click here to see this summer’s band line-up.
Japanese Garden in Central Park
San Mateo’s famed Japanese Garden is a one-acre respite located within beautiful Central Park and within walking distance of downtown San Mateo. Your support will be used to enhance maintenance and purchase garden amenities.
Play Inflatables at King Pool
Help transform the summer pool experience at King Pool into a “cool pool” by providing inflatable play structures. These play structures can be temporarily placed for use during recreational swimming and then removed for instructional or lap swimming.
